A NEW YEAR’S WISH FOR EVERYONE

One of the nicest New Year greetings I’ve received recently comes from someone in Victoria, Australia. She sent it in a comment to a holiday post of mine. But it’s so appropriate a wish for those of us who are, as the blog says, “getting old,” that I’m borrowing it to share with all of you, irrespective of your age:

MAY 2015 BRING YOU GOOD HEALTH AND THE ENERGY TO DO ALL THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO!

Thank you, Barbara, for sending it.  Thank you all for reading. See you next year….

  1. What beautiful flowers on the windowsill making a very pretty picture. We did call those flowers geraniums, and now we’re told they are pelargoniums! Is it the same where you are? Thank you so much for your sweet comment and passing it on, it made me feel all warm and fuzzy! ❤

    • I would have called them geraniums, too. (Never heard of pelargoniums, but what do I know? Never have been, never will be, a gardener.) Where I am now, however, is the dead of winter, with no geraniums, or the other thing, at all. This picture was taken in late April 2008, at a boutique hotel where we were staying near St. Paul de Vence, in the south of France. I was looking through my iPhoto pictures for something that suggested spring — and there it was!

Feel all warm and fuzzy as long as you want: you deserve it! ❤

    • Thank *you* so much, Takami. And all the same generous wishes to you and your family, too. That’s actually quite a lot to wish for, and we should all be so lucky. But I guess if you don’t ask, you don’t get. 🙂

  2. AND THE ENERGY TO DO ALL THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO!

And no energy to do what your spouse nags you to do! [just teasing]

I have found that energy begets energy. When you do more, you increase your capacity to do.

    • Since I would likely be the spouse in your first paragraph, I must beg to disagree. [Just teasing.]

Your second paragraph is true. However, it suggests that you are nowhere near enough to “getting old” or you would understand that in time even energy-begotten energy runs out. Go for it, while you can! 😀
