Actually, she also looks good sleeping on our red chairs, and on our pale grey sofa, and on our white duvet cover in the bedroom upstairs. (She does sleep a lot.) Since we had all the furniture before we had her, you might say we picked her to go with the furniture. But it wouldn’t really be true. She was the last of the litter, so it was this one or nothing. We didn’t want nothing, after having driven such a long distance to get to the breeder, and therefore chose her instead. We were lucky!
“Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are god. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realize that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are gods.”

Love this photo. Have our Sooty curled up beside me right now.
Great quote. Another along the same lines is: “Dogs come when called. Cats take a message and get back to you.” (I would add: “Maybe.”) Cats are really for masochists. Every cat owner understands this; it’s the pleasure-pain principle! 😀
Sixteen hours. But they get to choose when, and when is not necessarily, or entirely, at night! There’s plenty of noisy carousing on the stairs at two in the morning, and then a nice z-z-z-z-z at two in the afternoon, especially a cold and rainy afternoon.
She’s a beauty.

Her proud mother (person?) thanks you.

She knows exactly what colour material to lay on to enhance her wonderful colour coat. And looking so elegant when sleeping.

Didn’t you say in a prior post that cats sleep 18 hours a day?
