OUT SICK — NO NEW POSTS FOR A WHILE

Standard

Nothing fatal. Just a comprehensive case of eczema that makes it painful to sit, think, or type. So if you’ll excuse me while it gets getter, here’s a rerun that should cheer you up until I rise again from my couch of itchy-scratcy, all anointed with Medicare Part D-approved medications that are supposed to relieve the need to tear myself apart with my fingernails.  Please bear with me and enjoy.  It’s a flashmob performance of Beeethoven’s Ode to Joy, recorded in one of the main plazas of Sabadell, Spain.  Some of you will have seen it before; others not.  Whichever category you’re in, my feeling is you can’t get too much joy.

  1. Sorry to hear you’re itchy. My friend’s child had it but luckily grew out of it. The doctors said it was stress related but he was only five years old at the time. He is now about 40 yrs old. She would plaster him with some sort of grease. I hope today’s methods are better. Look forward to reading your blog soon.

    • There’s still quite a bit of “plastering” involved, with what results except all-over greasiness, I’m not sure. More of this, perhaps, later. Thank you for all your kindness and thoughtfulness.

  2. So sorry to hear you’re suffering, and wish you a speedy recovery. I am sure you have very adequate medical care, but excuse me for suggesting something that I have used with great success for skin problems. One can buy Aloe Vera in most drug stores, and it really does wonders for the skin.

Itching isn’t fun, but Beethoven’s Ode to Joy sure is! That was the recessional music we chose for our wedding ceremony many years ago. Thank you. 🙂

  4. That is my FAVORITE flashmob! I love the joy on the faces of the spectators. Thanks for thinking of us while you are so uncomfortable. I hope you find relief soon and are back to your usual pursuits!
